Deoghar/Ranchi, June 22 (HS). The strings of NEET question paper leak case are also being linked to Jharkhand. In this case, Bihar Police has arrested six accused from Deoghar. All the accused were living as tenants in Jhunnu Singh's house near AIIMS in Devipur police station area of Deoghar district. All the accused are suspects in the case registered in Shastrinagar police station of Patna (Case number-358/2024).
However, the Patna police, which came to conduct the raid, had told the Deoghar police that all of them were accused of cyber fraud. The Deoghar police came to know on Saturday that actually all of them have been arrested in the NEET paper leak case. The arrested accused include Panku Kumar, resident of Baldar Bigha in Chhavilapur police station area of Nalanda district of Bihar, Paramjeet Singh alias Bittu, Chintu alias Baldev Kumar, Kaju alias Prashant Kumar, resident of Daruara in Nursarai police station area, Ajit Kumar of Ekangarasarai police station area and Rajiv Kumar alias Karu.
According to the information, Amit Anand and Nitish were working under paper leak mastermind Sanjeev Mukhiya. Amit Anand works as a liaisoner. Nitish and Amit Anand are friends. Sikandar had taken the contract to get many candidates like Anurag and Ayush passed. The answers of the paper came on Chintu's mobile. Chintu gave the answers to Pintu and then Pintu, who was carrying a printer with him, printed the answers of all the questions. The answers of the questions sent through Chintu-Pintu were sent to Patna's Learn and Play School overnight, where students like Anurag and Ayush, already present there, memorized the answers and went to give the exam the next morning.
Bought NEET paper for 30 lakhs and sold it for 40-40 lakhs
Sikandar Yadavendra, arrested in the NEET paper leak case, is said to be the mastermind. During interrogation, he told the police that he had struck a deal for the paper for 30 to 32 lakh rupees. After this, he sold the paper to four candidates for 40 lakh rupees each. The NEET paper was first leaked from Hazaribagh in Jharkhand.
It is said that Sikandar Yadavendra had given the paper to Ayush Kumar of Danapur Patna, Anurag Yadav of Samastipur, Abhishek Kumar of Ranchi and Shivanandan Kumar of Gaya. For the NEET exam to be held on May 5, Sikandar Yadavendra went to Ramakrishna Nagar in Patna on the night of May 4 and handed over the paper to the four candidates. At that time Amit Anand and Nitish Kumar were also present with him.
After this, everyone was made to memorize the paper overnight but on May 5, all four candidates were detained from Bailey Road in Patna in a car with Jharkhand number. After this, the paper leak was revealed. According to information, Sikandar's son Homi Anand runs a shop called Infinity Sports in Harmu. Sikandar also has a house in the same housing colony.
