Delhi Border Security: Ahead of the ‘Delhi Chalo’ march of Punjab farmers, the police have come on alert mode, under which security has been increased on all the borders of Delhi. A group of 101 farmers left for Delhi at 1 pm. Due to the farmers’ movement, a large number of security personnel have been deployed at Delhi Border and Central Delhi for investigation. Due to the farmers’ march, Delhi Police is on alert and security has been increased in the city limits. A large number of security forces have also been deployed on the Indus border. Also, considering the situation of Shambhu border on Punjab-Haryana border, the number of these security forces may increase further. The situation worsened at the Shambhu border when the farmers tried to move forward. He removed a layer of barricade and started moving forward. Meanwhile, the police immediately released tear gas to stop the farmers and tried to disperse the crowd. Meanwhile, a farmer was also taken into custody.
Haryana Minister Anil Vij got angry
Commenting on the farmers’ demonstration, Haryana Minister Anil Vij asked whether the farmers had taken permission? How can we let them go to Delhi without permission? They will be allowed to go to Delhi only after getting permission.
Section 163 of BNSS implemented in Ambala
According to the official, the police is keeping vigil at the Noida border, where another group of farmers from Uttar Pradesh is sitting on strike. Despite prohibitory orders under section 163 of the Indian Civil Security Code (BNSS) in Ambala (section 144 of the IPC), more than 100 farmers are set to begin a foot march from Shambhu border to Delhi on Friday. In which any illegal gathering of more than five persons is prohibited.

Earlier on Thursday, Punjab DIG (Patiala Range) Mandeep Singh Sidhu and SSP (Patiala) Nanak Singh met Pander and Surjeet Singh Phul at Shambhu border. Sidhu said that the farmers have assured the police that they will maintain peace and will not include tractor-trolleys in the march.
Farmer leaders had earlier announced that the Farmers First Group would be led by Satnam Singh Pannu, Surinder Singh Chautala, Surjit Singh Phool and Baljinder Singh. Meanwhile, Samyukta Kisan Morcha leader Jagjit Singh Dallawella has started a fast unto death at Khanauri border on Thursday.
Tight security on Sindhu border
Water cannons and concrete barricades have been installed on the Indus border to stop the farmers moving towards Delhi. Along with multi-layer barricading, central paramilitary forces have also been deployed on the Haryana border.
Multi-layer barricading has already been done at Shambhu Border-Rajpura (Punjab)-Ambala (Haryana) on National Highway-44. However, police and other public servants on duty will be exempted from the restrictions. Delhi Police says that it is ready to face any situation on the Indus border.
