India-China update , The withdrawal of troops along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) has begun, days after India and China signed an agreement to end the standoff between the armies of the two countries in eastern Ladakh.
According to information received from sources, one tent each and some temporary structures have been removed from both sides. Also, Indian soldiers are returning from the western bank of Charding Nala. However, Chinese troops are retreating from the eastern bank of the nala. There are about 10-20 temporary structures and 12 tents on both sides, which will be removed.
Patrolling will resume in Depsang and Demchok
On Thursday (24 October), the Chinese Army also reduced the number of its vehicles in the area and the Indian Army also withdrew some soldiers. After completion of this process, patrolling is expected to resume in Depsang and Demchok in the next 4-5 days.
India announced on October 21 that it had reached an agreement with China to patrol the Line of Actual Control, a major breakthrough in ending more than four years of military standoff. The clashes began in May 2020 after a violent clash between troops in the Galwan Valley.
China also confirmed the agreement with India
The next day China also confirmed this agreement. Beijing said that an agreement has been reached on LAC-related matters and it will work with India to implement these proposals. Also, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said that our country will work forward with India to implement this proposal.
