SIT reached the ashram in search of 'Bhole Baba', raids in Rajasthan and Haryana to catch the main accused Madhukar

Hathras Stampede: Many families are trapped due to stampede in Baba Bhole's satsang in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh. On Tuesday, there was a stampede in the satsang of Suraj Pal alias Bhole Baba alias Narayan Sakar Hari. 121 people died in this stampede and the whole country was shocked. Now the agency has started raids in neighboring states Rajasthan and Haryana to catch the main accused Devprakash Madhukar. Along with this, the SIT formed on the orders of the government has reached Baba's Mainpuri Ashram. The police took away two luxury cars parked here. A senior official said that all the agencies are also looking for 'Bhole Baba' for questioning. A total of 121 people died in the stampede during Bhole Baba's satsang on July 2 in Fullerai village of Hathras district. A large number of women were among the dead. In the FIR registered in this case, only the name of the main sevadar Madhukar has been registered as the accused and the name of Surajpal has not been registered.

Agencies are looking for Bhole Babani for questioning

The FIR has been registered at Sikandrarao police station in Hathras in which apart from Madhukar, several unknown organisers have been made accused and so far 6 suspects have been arrested in this case. The officer said that no one has been given a clean chit. The investigation is still going on and government agencies are looking for the absconding main accused. The agencies are also looking for Bhole Baba for questioning.

The officer also said that as part of the search operation, the team has already searched parts of western Uttar Pradesh and eastern districts of the state. The team is also searching in states like Rajasthan and Haryana. Meanwhile, the report of the Special Task Team (SIT) formed to investigate the stampede incident has been submitted to the Chief Minister. Additional Director General of Police (Agra Zone) Anupam Kulshreshtha has submitted this report to the government.

The official said the confidential report included statements of Hathras District Magistrate Ashish Kumar, police officer Nipun Aggarwal and senior health department officials who witnessed the emergency created by the stampede.

Police have registered a case under various sections of the IPC.

Police have registered a case under sections 105, 110, 126, 223, 238 of the IPC in this case. The Uttar Pradesh government on Wednesday constituted a three-member judicial commission headed by a retired High Court judge to investigate the Hathras tragedy.
