SIT formed in Amarjeet murder case, Deputy Commissioner SSP Kathua reached the spot and assured the victim's family

Kathua 10 June (HS). In the Amarjeet murder case, the local people protested against the district administration and police administration by blocking the national highway and railway track for more than 6 hours continuously. After which the District Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Minhas and SSP Kathua Anayat Ali themselves reached the spot and assured the victim's family. After which the national highway was opened and the deceased was cremated.

The District Deputy Commissioner said that the district administration is standing with the victim's family in this hour of grief. He said that strict action will be taken against whoever has committed such a cowardly act. For which a SIT has been formed and this case will be filed in the fast track court and strict action will be taken against whoever is found guilty in it. He said that at present, after the post-mortem, the last rites will be performed first as per Hindu customs. After that, every possible help will be given by the district administration by sitting with the family. After the assurance of the DC, the protesters moved away from the road. The national highway was opened after about 6 hours, although the traffic was already diverted. During this time, Chaudhary Lal Singh also reached to meet the victim's family. He also demanded a fair investigation into the matter and demanded strict action against the culprits.

It is noteworthy that on Sunday night, the body of a person was found in suspicious circumstances at a distance of 200 to 300 meters from his house in village Mela of Tehsil Hiranagar of Kathua district, whose throat was brutally slit. After which the anger of the villagers reached the seventh sky and they protested against the district administration and police administration by closing the Jammu Pathankot National Highway for about 6:30 hours. Meanwhile, the protesters also blocked the railway track. Seeing the situation deteriorating, District Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Manhas reached the spot and calmed the matter by giving assurance. After which the deceased was cremated.
