Deoria, 19 August (HS). A sister injured in a road accident died on Monday in Salempur Kotwali area. Police reached the spot after getting the information and sent the body for post mortem after taking legal action.
Kusmavati Devi (55) wife of Vinod, a resident of Ithua Hazam of the Mail police station area, was going with her son Pradeep on a bike to tie a rakhi to her brother Rajesh Kushwaha, a resident of Tenua. She had just reached near the Salempur petrol pump when a Bolero coming at a high speed hit her. She was admitted in a wounded state to the Deoria Medical College for treatment, where the doctor declared Kusmavati Devi dead. On receiving the information, the police took legal action, sent the body for postmortem and started investigating the case.
