The judicial custody of former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia has been extended till April 6. Rouse Avenue Court, while hearing the Delhi Liquor Policy case, has extended Sisodia's judicial custody till April 6. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has already been relieved from appearance in this case.
Earlier, while hearing the case on March 7, the court had extended the judicial custody of Manish Sisodia till March 19. Even today, Manish Sisodia's lawyer argued a lot, but the court extended the judicial custody of Delhi Deputy CM Sisodia till 6 April. Before these two hearings, the court, on March 2, had refused to grant relief to Sisodia and sent him to judicial custody till March 7.
At the same time, AAP's Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh has been exempted from appearing in the court. His lawyer had argued that Sanjay Singh should be given relief because he has to take the oath of Rajya Sabha. ED is filing an application in the court in this matter. The ED's plea was opposed by the counsel for the accused and said that most of the applications were given orally.
