Sirsa, August 30 (HS). On the instructions of Superintendent of Police Vikrant Bhushan, officers and jawans of police and paramilitary forces took out a flag march in the city of Rania today to ensure that the upcoming assembly elections to be held on October 1 are conducted in a completely free and fair manner in the district.
The march was taken out till BDPO Office Road, New Bus Stand, Main Bazaar, Deep Palace, Nanuana Marg and Jeevan Nagar Road of Rania Police Station area. The flag march was led by DSP. Along with him, Police Station Incharge Rania Dinesh Kumar and officers and jawans of paramilitary force participated in the flag march. District Superintendent of Police Vikrant Bhushan said that the purpose of the flag march is to create a sense of security among the common people, so that they can exercise their voting rights fearlessly. The Superintendent of Police said that during the flag march, the common people have been told that if any person influences or pressurizes them for voting or any kind of illegal activity is happening around them, then immediately inform the police so that strict legal action can be taken against such people.
Superintendent of Police Vikrant Bhushan said that the district police is making strict security arrangements to conduct the assembly elections in the district in a completely free and fair manner. He said that conducting free and fair elections is the ultimate responsibility of the police. He said that while the district police is making strong security arrangements inside the district for the elections, strict security arrangements are also being made on the Rajasthan and Punjab borders adjoining the district and a joint strategy is being prepared by holding continuous meetings with the police officers of both the states.
