In May, the flow of investment made through SIP (Systematic Investment Plan) in mutual funds was recorded at Rs 20,904.37 crore, which is the highest ever. In April also, this figure was Rs 20,000 crore more i.e. Rs 20,371.47 crore in May with an increase of 3 percent. In one year, this figure was Rs 14,779 crore.
The number of SIP accounts also reached a record high of 8.76 crores in May. In comparison, this number was 8.70 crores in March. The total number of SIP accounts increased by 60 lakhs in the month of May. The AUM figure under SIP in May was Rs. 11.26 lakh crores as against Rs. 11.52 lakh crores in April.
