A passenger has died due to dangerous turbulence on a Singapore Airlines flight from London to Singapore. More than 30 people have also been injured due to this disturbance. After this incident, the airline said on Wednesday that it is fully cooperating with the authorities in the investigation. British passenger Geoffrey Kitchen, 73, died of a heart attack during the flight.

On 20 May, Singapore Airlines (SIA) flight SQ321 from London (Heathrow) to Singapore encountered severe turbulence over the Irrawaddy Basin at an altitude of 37,000 feet, about 10 hours after departure. After this the pilot declared a medical emergency and diverted the plane towards Bangkok.
The passengers injured in this incident are undergoing treatment in a hospital in Bangkok. The Boeing 777-300ER was en route to Singapore with 211 passengers and 18 crew members. Three Indians are also included in this. Apart from this, there are 56 from Australia, 2 from Canada, 1 from Germany, 3 from India, 2 from Indonesia, 1 from Iceland, 4 from Ireland, 1 from Israel, 16 from Malaysia, 2 from Myanmar, 23 from New Zealand. and 23 from the Philippines. There were 5 people on board the ship, 41 from Singapore, 1 from South Korea, 2 from Spain, 47 from the United Kingdom and 4 from the United States.
Singapore Airlines chief executive Goh Chun Phong said the airline was fully cooperating with relevant authorities investigating the incident. He welcomed 131 passengers and 12 crew members who arrived in Singapore on a relief flight on May 22 at Changi Airport.
