Shortly after this, on October 11, 5 soldiers were martyred in an encounter with terrorists in the forests of Poonch. Four soldiers including two officers of Jammu and Kashmir were martyred in the terrorist attack on October 16. This attack took place in Bhata Durian area of ​​Poonch district. After this, two soldiers and an officer were martyred in the explosion on October 30. At that time the soldiers were patrolling in Nowshera, Rajouri.

On April 20, 5 soldiers were martyred in a terrorist attack on NH-144A at Bhata Durian in Poonch district. After this, on May 7, 2023, five commandos and an army major were martyred in another terrorist attack. This attack was carried out in the forests of Rajouri. On November 22, 2023, five soldiers including two army captains were martyred in a terrorist encounter in Bajimal in Rajouri district. On December 21, five soldiers were martyred in another terrorist attack. This attack was carried out by terrorists in Dera Gali area of ​​Poonch.

So far, 4 major terrorist attacks have taken place in Jammu and Kashmir in 2024. The first attack took place on 4 May. An IAF officer was martyred in the attack. This attack was carried out in Poonch. After this, a CRPF jawan was martyred in a terrorist attack in Kaithu on 11 June. On 8 July, 5 soldiers were martyred and a terrorist was also killed in the terrorist attack in Badnota village of Katuha. Recently, four soldiers including an army captain have been martyred in the attack on 15 July.
