Material required to make pumpkin pudding:
- 1 kg pumpkin
- 1 ½ cinnamon stick
- 150 ml water
- 150 grams sugar
- 4 tablespoons butter or ghee
- 50 grams raisins
- 2 tablespoons grated roasted coconut
- 2 tablespoons of almond clipping
Method of making pumpkin pudding:
- Cook the pumpkin: First add pumpkin, water and cinnamon in a pan. Cover it and cook till it becomes soft.
- Mash the pumpkin: When the pumpkin becomes soft, filter the water and mash the pumpkin.
- Make pudding: Now heat 4 tablespoons of ghee in a large pan. Add mashed pumpkin to it and cook the puree for about 10 minutes while stirring the puree continuously and changes the color.
- Add sugar: Now add sugar to it and let the halwa cook. If you want, you can also use jaggery instead of sugar.
- Garnish: After cooking, remove the pumpkin halwa in a serving dish and garnish it with raisins, almonds and coconut.
