Silk Smita’s biopic will be made with the name Queen of South

Mumbai: It has been announced to make a biopic of South’s sex bomb actress Silk Smita. The name of this film will be ‘Queen of the South’. South actress Chandrika Ravi will play the lead role of Silk Smita.

Actress Chandrika Ravi announced the film on Instagram on Monday and also shared a three-minute glimpse of the film.

Originally titled Vijayalakshmi Vadalpatti, Smita became known as a sexbomb in South films. However, he committed suicide in 1996 at the age of 36. The character Silk played by Vidya Balan in the film ‘The Dirty Picture’ is said to be based on the life of Smita.
