Mumbai: Deepak Mishra, director of the highly acclaimed web series 'Panchayat' is now going to direct a film based on folklore. Siddharth Malhotra has been offered the lead actor of this film.
Ekta Kapoor and TVF are going to make this film together. Its shooting will start from the middle of next year.
After Siddharth's name is finalized, the rest of the cast will be decided.
According to sources, Ekta Kapoor is very impressed with the film 'Kantara'. She has decided to make a film which has the same rural background and is based on folklore.
