Sonipat, June 4 (HS). Khatu Shyam Nishan and Kalash Yatra was taken out with great pomp and show in Sonipat city on Tuesday with band music. Thousands of women were walking with Baba's Nishan in their hands and Kalash on their heads. Former minister Kavita Jain and former media advisor to the Chief Minister Rajiv Jain inaugurated the Yatra on Tuesday and remained with them throughout the Yatra.
In the yatra which started from the premises of Mission Road Jain Temple, women were walking while singing and dancing on the bhajans of Baba Shyam and in the markets, social and religious organizations gave them a grand welcome by showering flowers. The yatra was organized by Khatu Shyam Mandir Trust as the second Shyam Janmotsav. The yatra concluded with the grand aarti of Baba Khatu Shyam at Sonipat Dham. Trust's manager Rajiv Goyal, Rakesh Mittal, Anuj Mangala, Sanjeev Dahiya distributed prasad while riding on Baba Shyam Ji's chariot.
