Although the Indian Cricket Board has not yet released any official information on this matter, the current situation suggests that if Team India needs Gill in the second innings, then the chances of his playing are slim. However, he came to bat and while playing a shot his pain increased due to which he did not come out of the pavilion to bat again and the Indian innings ended with the fall of 9 wickets.
