Guru Harkrishan Sahib Ji Prakash Parv: Today the entire Sikh community is celebrating the birth anniversary of the eighth Guru Shri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji. At the same time, the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said He congratulated the Sikh community on the occasion of the holy day. Congratulating on the occasion, he wrote, ' Symbol of service, pain reliever, Bala Pritam Dhan Dhan Shri Guru Harikrishna Sahib Ji's Prakash Parv to all of you.

Bala Pritam Shri Guru Harikrishna Sahib Ji was born in 1656 AD at the residence of the seventh Patishah Sahib Shri Guru Hari Rai Ji in Kiratpur Sahib. Shri Guru Harkrishna Ji is known as 'Bal Guru' or 'Bala Pritam'. He was the eighth Guru of the Nirmal Panth led by Guru Nanak.

Your father Guru Hariray Sahib, who is the son of Baba Gurditta Ji and the seventh Guru Sahib of Sikhism. It is said that the holy arrival of Satguru Ji blessed the entire universe with his holy blessings. He filled everyone's happiness by putting up swings. Guru Harikrishna Kishan Sahib had an attractive face and a soft heart.

According to history, before taking the torch, Guru Hari Rai Sahib Ji declared Guru Harikrishan Sahib Ji as the next successor to Guru Nanak's throne. Guru Harikrishan Sahib Ji was the second son of Shri Guru Hari Rai Sahib Ji. The first son Ram Rai was hurt by the decency of the Guru and changed the verses of Gurbani for personal gain and to please Aurangzeb. Guru Hari Rai Sahib expressed displeasure and expelled him from Sikhism forever.

Ram Rai went to Dehradun

He told them that if he did not meet Guru Sahib again, Ram Rai would go to Dehradun. Where Aurangzeb gave him a jagir. Ram Rai ji made his camp in the open settlement of Dehradun, but he was angry about why he was not given the throne. So he also complained about his brother to Emperor Aurangzeb. Aurangzeb had heard a lot about Guru Harikrishna Sahib.

Aurangzeb was quite worried about the growing popularity of Guru Sahib, so he sent an invitation to Guru Harikrishna Sahib to Delhi. By the way, Aurangzeb knew that Guru Ji would not come on his invitation, so Aurangzeb assigned the task of bringing Guru Harikrishna Ji to Delhi to Raja Jai Singh of Ambar. When a messenger of Raja Jai Singh came to Guru Sahib Ji with this message, Guru Ji refused at once. In fact, while making Guru Harirai Sahib Ji sit on the throne, Guru Harikrishna Sahib Ji had requested that if Aurangzeb calls him to Delhi, he should not touch his forehead at all.

Keeping this in mind, Guru Harikrishna Sahib Ji refused to go to Delhi, but on repeated requests of Raja Jai Singh and seeing the respect of the Sangat of Delhi, Guru Harikrishna Sahib Ji decided to go to Delhi. He also said that he will go to Delhi but will not go to meet Malech. 'Na Malechch ka Darshan Le Hai'. That he will neither touch Aurangzeb's forehead nor give him darshan. Saying this, Guru Sahib departed for Delhi via Ropar, Banur, Panjokhra Sahib (Ambala) etc.

On reaching Panjokhra Sahib…

When Guru Harikrishna Sahib reached Panjokhra Sahib village near Ambala, a large number of people from Peshawar, Kabul and Kashmir had come to see the Guru. The Sangat requested Guruji to stay here for one night and this request was accepted. Seeing the royal honour and grand bath of Guru Sahib Ji, Pandit Lal Chand, a resident of Panjokhra, became very angry. He started burning in the fire of jealousy.

He asked what is the name of this child, then the congregation told him that this is not a child but the eighth Guru of the Sikhs. His name is Shri Guru Harikrishna Sahib. Pandit Lal Chand got angry and started saying that our Lord Krishna composed songs but this new born child has named himself Harikrishna. He came to Guru Sahib Ji. Guru Sahib Ji understood what he was saying and called him by name and said, come Lal Chand Ji, sit down.

The meaning of Gita is derived from Chhaju

He expressed his doubt to Guruji whether he could recite the Gita with its meaning. Guru Harikrishna Sahib Ji said that bring any person from your village, he will explain the meaning of Gita to him. A dumb person named Chhaju lived in that village. Lal Chand brought Chhaju in front of Guruji. He knew that he could neither speak nor listen, but still he brought Chhaju to Guruji so that he could test Guruji. Guruji bathed Chhaju in a nearby pond and made him sit near him after dressing him in clean clothes.

Then he placed his stick on Chhaju's head and asked Pandit Lal Chand to recite a verse from the Gita. By this time a large number of people from the surrounding villages had gathered here. When Pandit Lal Chand recited the verse, he read it wrongly. Chhaju said with his holy mouth, Pandit ji, you are reading the verse wrong. The original verse is this and its meaning is this. When this happened two-three times, Pandit Lal Chand ji's pride broke and he fell at the feet of Guru ji.

Pandit Lal Chand ji and Beant Sangat left for Delhi

Guru Harikrishna Ji bid farewell to Pandit Lal Chand Ji and unlimited followers and left for Delhi. After reaching Delhi, he agreed to stay in Raja Jai Singh's palace. Aurangzeb sent many messages but the Guru refused to go. History is witness that Aurangzeb stood for a long time outside Raja Jai Singh's palace to have a darshan of Guru Harikrishna Sahib but the Guru turned him away.

Meanwhile, smallpox and cholera spread in Delhi. Guru Harikrishnan Sahib Ji washed his holy feet in the pond located at the reservoir site of Gurdwara Bangla Sahib and asked the suffering patients to take a bath there. Whoever takes a bath there will be cured. Similarly, Guru Ji continued to serve the suffering and helpless in Delhi and cured lakhs of people. Later, Guru Ji also got smallpox but even then Guru Ji used to sit in a canopy above the palace from where the devotees used to see him in the morning and get cured. Ultimately, Guru Harikrishna Sahib died on 16 April 1664 AD.

The holy body of Guru Harikrishan Sahib was cremated at the place where Gurdwara Balaji Sahib is situated. The holy ashes of Guru Harikrishan Sahib were brought to Kiratpur Sahib which are still enshrined in Gurdwara Patalpuri Sahib. Guru Gobind Singh Ji himself has said while paying tribute to him, 'Sri Harikrishan is the daughter of all those who suffered.'
