The earnings of 'Stree 2' have broken the opening day records of big budget films like Shahrukh Khan's 'Pathan', Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal', Yash's 'KGF 2', Hrithik Roshan's 'War' and Kartik Aaryan's 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2'. It has become the film with the highest opening collection of this year. Looking at the huge advance booking of the film, it was certain that the film would get a bumper opening. In comparison, Akshay Kumar's 'Khel Khel Mein' has flopped with a collection of barely five crores on the first day. In comparison, John Abraham's 'Veda' has collected 6.70 crores on the first day. Thus, Akshay's film is at the third position.
