Show yourself to be a responsible citizen by participating in voting: Deputy Commissioner

Khunti, May 4 (Hindustan Reporter) Voter Mahotsav was organized in Torpa block complex on Saturday under the SVEEP program with the aim of increasing voter participation in Lok Sabha elections, spreading moral voting and election related awareness message to the people.

In the same sequence, District Election Officer cum Deputy Commissioner Lokesh Mishra infused energy among the voters by playing Mandar, a traditional instrument of the area. The Deputy Commissioner said that the main objective of the voter awareness campaign is to make the voters there aware and to provide them other information related to the elections. Along with this, efforts should also be made to make the parents aware through the young voters. During this voter awareness programme, voter pledge, musical chair, painting competition, quiz competition, street play, poster making etc. competitions were organised.

Students participated enthusiastically in all the competitions and ensured their positive participation in the great festival of democracy. An appeal was made to all the people to participate enthusiastically in the Lok Sabha general elections, the great festival of democracy. BKB Memorial Public School, Torpa Praarcha and famous folk singer Laxmikant Narayan Badhaik made a voting appeal to the voters through songs. It was told that the voting date is May 13. All of you have to participate enthusiastically in this great festival.

On this occasion, all the young voters were made aware under the voter awareness program SVEEP to ensure 100 percent voting in the Lok Sabha elections. On the occasion, everyone was motivated to use their vote as a responsible citizen of a democratic country. District Election Officer and Block Development Officer of Torpa Kumud Kumar Jha rewarded the participants of the competition.
