Shops of Muslim community closed on the 32nd anniversary of the demolition of the disputed structure in Ayodhya.

Varanasi, 06 December (HS). On Friday, on the 32nd anniversary of the demolition of the disputed structure in Ramnagari Ayodhya, most of the shops of the Muslim community in Dalmandi and New Road remained closed. People of the society celebrated Black Day by keeping their businesses. In view of the anniversary, the alert district administration has made elaborate security arrangements in the area. The officers along with the force kept patrolling in Dalmandi, Naisadak and other sensitive Muslim settlements and mixed areas. Children were seen playing cricket after seeing shops closed in the streets of Dalmandi, Nai Sadak, Textile Market, Beniyabagh, Sariahadha, Bhikhashah. Due to the closure of shops in the crowded area, traffic remained relatively less in this area.

Markets and shops in these areas remain closed today since the demolition of the disputed structure in Ayodhya on 6 December 1992. People of the society celebrate Black Day. They also pray in homes, dargahs and mosques.

Let us tell you that for the last few years, people in other areas of Muslim society do not celebrate Black Day on the anniversary nor do they close their businesses.

It is noteworthy that on this day in the year 1992, on 6th December, Sanatani Karsevaks had demolished the so-called Babri structure. There was a lot of uproar in the country regarding this. Litigation went on in the court for many years. In the year 2019, the Supreme Court gave its historic decision and decided to build a Ram temple in Ayodhya and a mosque on the other side. After this, a grand temple of Ramlala was built in Ramnagari and it was also inaugurated in the beginning of this year. People are happy to have the divine darshan of Ramlala in the grand temple. Day by day, a huge crowd of Sanatanis are reaching Ayodhya to have darshan of Ramlala. At the same time, the mosque is also being built at a fast pace.
