It has been made mandatory to write the names of the owners of shops falling on the route of Kanwar Yatra anywhere in the state. Now no Kanwariya devotee will have any problem in buying food items during the journey.
According to the government spokesperson, name plates will have to be installed on food shops on the Kanwar routes. The name plate will have the name of the shop operator and its owner. The government has taken this step to maintain the purity of the faith of Kanwar pilgrims. Along with this, products with Halal certification will not be sold in UP. Strict action will be taken against those selling such products.
Many times the police was receiving complaints that some people are doing business by hiding their religion. For example, they are running restaurants and other food shops. They have also put up pictures of Hindu gods and goddesses on their shops. During the Kanwar Yatra, Shiv bhakts are afraid that they may be served meat at such shops by keeping them in the dark. Therefore, such people should write their names in front of their shops so that Shiv bhakts go to those shops where they are sure of cleanliness and purity. Chief Minister Adityanath has taken this step after understanding the problem of Shiv bhakts.
