Shooter reaches Lilavati Hospital to confirm Siddiqui’s death

Mumbai: Shivkumar, the key shooter in the Baba Siddiqui murder case, has revealed that after he fled the scene of the shooting at Siddiqui, he went to Lilavati Hospital to find out if Siddiqui was actually dead. He stayed there for half an hour. After learning that Siddiqui was actually dead, he fled from there and left Mumbai.

Baba Siddiqui was shot dead near the office of his son Zeeshan in Bandra on the night of Dussehra on 12 October. On the day of Dussehra, celebrations were being held by bursting firecrackers outside Zeeshan Siddiqui’s office. During that time, indiscriminate firing was done on Baba Siddiqui, two bullets hit him in the chest, later he was immediately admitted to Lilavati Hospital. Where the doctor declared him dead.

Shivkumar Gautam, the main accused who shot Baba Siddiqui, told the police investigation that the first thing he did was change his shirt immediately after being shot. Then he entered the crowd present at the spot. Observed the situation there for 20 minutes. Later he went to Lilavati Hospital by rickshaw. He stood outside Lilavati for half an hour. He left only when he was sure that Siddiqui was not going to run away.

After the firing, Gautam went to Kurla from Lilavati Hospital. From there he caught a local train to Thane and then reached Pune. He threw his mobile phone in Pune. Later he took a train to Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh and from there reached Lucknow on Sunday. Gautam was hiding among people in a slum, about 10 kilometers away from Nanpara city of Uttar Pradesh. Then the police arrested the main accused Gautam.

Gautam from Uttar Pradesh was to meet his two companions Dharamraj Kashyap and Gurmail Singh at Ujjain railway station, from there a member of the Bishnoi gang was going to take them to Vaishno Devi, but Dharamraj Kashyap and his plan to go to Vaishno Devi failed due to firing. Gurmail Singh was captured soon after.

A special task force of Mumbai Crime Branch and Uttar Pradesh Police arrested the main accused Shivkumar Gautam and his four associates near the Nepal border. The accused had plans to flee the country

Due to suspicious conduct, four associates of shooter Gautam were investigated. All four were seen buying clothes of different sizes and plotting to meet Gautam in the forest. He bought a mobile phone from Lucknow and was in touch with Gautam through internet calls from this mobile. He planned to help the main accused Gautam to escape from the country.
