Yahya Sinwar killed in routine operation

Last Wednesday, IDF Division 162 and 828 Brigade Rafah during a routine operation in Gaza spotted three Hamas fighters while two of them were hiding in a building. Sinwar was seen injured in the drone video

The Israeli military released footage captured by drone showing an injured man sitting on a couch inside a ruined building. He has covered his face with a kafiya (scarf) and when an Israeli drone comes near the man, seeing a stick in his hand, he tries to bring down the drone by throwing the stick. After this the Israeli army attacked the building with tanks and left from there. He was astonished when he returned the next day and found it in ruins. The man who died in the debris of the building resembled Yahya Sinwar, attempts were made to identify Sinwar from his face, teeth and the watch he was wearing, but the best option was to do a DNA test. In such a situation, Israeli soldiers cut a finger from the dead body and conducted a DNA test, after which Sinwar's death was confirmed late on Thursday evening.
