The results of by-elections on 13 assembly seats of 7 states have been declared, in which Congress and TMC have won 4 seats each. While BJP could win 2 seats. Aam Aadmi Party has won the Jalandhar seat. TMC has captured all the four seats in West Bengal. While in Himachal Pradesh the contest was tied at 2-1. Congress won 2 seats and BJP won one seat.

Who won the Uttarakhand by-election?
Talking about the Uttarakhand assembly by-election, Congress captured the Mangalore and Badrinath seats. On the Badrinath seat, Congress' Lakhpat Singh Butola defeated BJP's Rajendra Bhandari by more than 5 thousand votes. Rajendra Bhandari was earlier an MLA from here but later joined the BJP.
At the same time, Congress's Qazi Nizamuddin won the Mangalore seat which fell vacant after the death of BSP MLA Sarbat Karim Ansari. He defeated BJP's Kartar Singh Bhadana by more than 400 votes. Qazi Nizamuddin has been a Congress MLA from this seat thrice before.
