Shock to BJP in Haryana, new CM Nayab Singh Saini will take oath today

Haryana: Haryana BJP President Naib Singh Saini has been elected the leader of the BJP legislature party. Saini will take oath as Chief Minister today.

Haryana BJP MLA Krishnalal Midha said after the legislative party meeting that Naib Singh Saini will be the next Chief Minister of Haryana. Now all the MLAs will meet the Governor.

Who is Naib Singh Saini?

Naib Singh Saini is the President of Haryana BJP and currently MP from Kurukshetra Lok Sabha seat. Saini has been an MLA from 2014 to 2019. He has also been a minister in the Government of Haryana from 2014 to 2019. Naib Singh belongs to Saini community in OBC.

Earlier on Tuesday, political heat was witnessed throughout the day in Haryana. First of all the alliance of BJP and JJP broke. After which Manohar Lal has resigned from the post of Chief Minister. After this, the meeting of BJP MLAs started and Arjun Munda, who was sent to Chandigarh as an observer, started efforts for the new government.

Naib Singh Saini comes from OBC category. He was made the new state president of Haryana in October 2023 itself. That means, after just 5 months, he has reached the race for CM's chair. It is being said that considering the political equation, BJP has decided to give another big responsibility to Saini. Saini comes from the OBC community and is considered very close to Khattar.

'Naib Singh has been a minister in Khattar government'

Naib Singh is currently the MP from Kurukshetra. He had also been an MLA before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. In 2014, Naib Singh had won the assembly elections from Narayangarh seat of Ambala district. Naib Singh won this election by more than 24 thousand votes. Later he was made a minister in the Khattar government. When the 2019 elections came, the party gave a big responsibility to Naib Singh and surprised him by giving him the ticket from Kurukshetra. Nevertheless Naib Singh was successful in winning the trust of the organization. Naib Singh got 6 lakh 88 thousand 629 votes in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. His rival Congress candidate Nirmal Singh could not get even half the votes.
