Shobhit University professor appointed chairman of India Digital Agriculture Council

Meerut, May 31 (HS). Professor Emeritus of Shobhit University Meerut, Prof. M. Moni has been appointed as the chairman of the newly formed India Digital Agriculture Council. This has created a wave of happiness among teachers and students.

The inaugural ceremony of the India Digital Agriculture Council was held on 29 May at the India International Centre in New Delhi under the aegis of the Indian Council of Food and Agriculture. In this program, former Director General of National Informatics and Professor Emeritus of Shobhit University, Prof. M Moni was appointed as the President. Earlier, the Indian Council of Food and Agriculture organized a national round table conference on digital agriculture in New Delhi. The vision of the India Digital Agriculture Council envisions a dynamic and transformative future for India's agriculture sector. Its objectives include facilitating collaborative partnerships, empowering farmers through digital literacy, encouraging the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, developing strategies for digital integration and advocating for an inclusive policy framework.

Chancellor of Shobhit University Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra has congratulated Prof. M. Moni on his appointment. He expressed confidence that under the able leadership of Prof. Moni, India Digital Agriculture Council will do excellent work in line with its objectives, vision, mission and agenda. Vice Chancellor of Shobhit University, Meerut, Professor (Dr.) Vinod Kumar Tyagi along with entrepreneurs, academic institutions and non-governmental organizations congratulated Prof. Moni on his remarkable contribution in the field of digital agriculture and smart tribal farming in the country.
