Shivratri festival celebrated with pomp in Prajapita Brahma Kumari Ishwariya University

Ranchi, 08 March (Hindus). Shivratri festival was celebrated with great pomp on Friday at Prajapita Brahma Kumari Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya located in Badu, Pithoria, Ranchi.

The program started with the flag hoisting of Brahmakumari Shiv Baba. On this occasion, formal worship and special aarti of Dwadash Jyotirlinga has been done. Also Prasad was distributed among Shiva devotees.

On the occasion, BK Rajmati threw light on the real meaning of Shivratri and told that humans celebrate Shivratri with great devotion and enthusiasm. They start standing in line from midnight onwards. Along with water and milk, flowers of Arka, Dhatura, Belpatra etc. are offered to Lord Shiva. Have you ever wondered why? Offering fragrant flowers and sweets to the Gods and Goddesses and offering hemp, Dhatura etc., berries to Shiva means inner jealousy and hatred. Whereas Dhatura symbolizes the offering of sexual disorders. The meaning of cannabis is to get intoxicated with the love of God. Bell leaves represent all three periods.

The three lines and dots on the Shivalinga show that Shiva is the lord of all three worlds. On this occasion, DAV Gandhinagar School principal SK Sinha, Sujala Sinha, BJP OBC Morcha state media in-charge Rajeev Ranjan, BJYM Art and Sports Cell Ranchi Metropolitan coordinator Ashutosh Dwivedi, Neetu Aggarwal, Vivek Aggarwal, Sampatti Devi were present as chief guests. Many people including
