Varanasi, 23 April (HS). Kaninjuku R of Varanasi. B. Martial Arts Academy students Shivesh Sharma and Khushi Majumdar will represent Uttar Pradesh in the National Karate Competition to be held in Dehradun from May 8 to 12.
Academy head coach Arvind Kumar said on Tuesday that Shivesh and Khushi won gold medals while representing Varanasi in the Cadet, Junior, Under 21 and Senior State Karate Championships held on April 20 and 21, 2024 at Chowk Stadium, Lucknow, making both the Was selected in the karate team of Uttar Pradesh.
He said that 13 players from his academy had participated in the Cadet, Junior, Under 21 and Senior State Karate Championships, out of which 09 won medals. Among the medal winners, Shivesh and Khushi won gold, while Bhumi Rai, Tanmay, Aditi Sonkar won silver and Shivani Gupta, Anushka Kumari, Vaidik Singh and Vaishnavi Tiwari won bronze.
