Mumbai, 28 October (Hindustan Reporter). Shiv Sena UBT candidate Kishanchand Tanwani has refused to contest from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Central Assembly constituency in Maharashtra Assembly elections. This has dealt a severe blow to Shiv Sena UBT President Uddhav Thackeray.

According to the information, Shiv Sena UBT had made Kishanchand Tanwani the candidate for Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Central Assembly constituency. But today Tanwani has returned this ticket back to the party. Why Tanwani returned the ticket is not yet known. It is being told that in the 2014 elections, both Kishanchan Tanwani and Pradeep Jaiswal had contested from this seat while MIM's Imtiaz Jaleel was also contesting from here for the first time. On this seat, Hindu votes were divided between Tanwani and Jaiswal, due to which MIM's Imtiaz was elected. After this, in the assembly elections held in 2019, there was a mutual agreement between Pradeep Jaiswal and Kishanchand Tanwani that this time Jaiswal will contest the elections and Kishan Tanwani will contest the elections in 2024. But Pradeep Jaiswal has already filed his nomination and is not accepting the consent. Similarly, Imtiaz Jalil is also contesting from the same seat. Therefore, there is discussion that Tanwani might have decided to withdraw from the election so that there is no distribution of seats.

Similarly, Shiv Sena UBT suddenly changed its candidate in Chopra assembly constituency of Jalgaon district on Monday. On this seat, Shiv Sena UBT had earlier made Raju Tadvi the candidate, whereas today Prabhakar Sonawane has been made the candidate in place of Tadvi.
