Jammu, 8 March (Hindustan Reporter). Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu and Kashmir unit on Friday announced to provide free tailoring and beautician training to women with the aim of making them self-reliant and providing self-employment opportunities.
In a special program organized on the occasion of Women's Day at the party state office, State Chief Manish Sahni said that on the occasion of Women's Day, a one-month free tailoring and beautician course has been started in the party office with the aim of making women and girls self-reliant. . After completion of which, all possible help will be provided for providing certificate and self-employment.
Sahni said that the percentage of women in terms of employment is very low. The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir stands far behind compared to other states regarding women employment. The female unemployment rate in Jammu and Kashmir is 72 percent, which is a matter of serious concern. Sahni said that women interested in this course can come to the party office and get themselves registered. This course of one month duration will be completely free.
Sahni said that very soon such free centers will be opened at the district and tehsil level and women will be provided training and shown the path to employment. On this occasion, about two dozen women joined the party, influenced by its policies and ideas. About a dozen women present on the occasion also got themselves registered for the said course.
On this occasion, President Women's Wing Meenakshi Chhibber, General Secretary Vikas Bakshi, Vice President Sanjeev Kohli, President Kamgar Wing Raj Singh, Shashipal, Kajal, Ajay Singh, Mamta Chhibber, Sanjeev Sharma were present.
