Shiv MLA Bhati's employee beaten, four policemen suspended

Barmer, 7 May (Hindustan Reporter). Four policemen have been suspended in connection with the assault on the employee of Shiv MLA and Lok Sabha candidate Ravindra Singh Bhati. It is alleged that his employee Dharamveer Singh was beaten up in the police station and made to sit in the police station unnecessarily. After the matter came to light, SP Narendra Singh Meena has suspended three constables including a head constable.

Bhati's employee alleges that he was going towards his village on bike from office on Monday night. This police stopped the bike and asked for the documents. Due to lack of documents, he was taken to Sadar police station and beaten there. DSP Ramesh Kumar Sharma said that Dharamveer had an altercation with Sadar police station head constable Jitendra Kumar over the lack of documents on the bike. The head constable had arrested Dharamveer Singh on charges of breach of peace. His medical treatment was done at night itself. He told that when the SP got information about this incident on Tuesday, he suspended Head Constable Jitendra along with Constables Virendra, Chandra Shekhar, Achalaram. The case is being investigated.
