Amritsar: 763 devotees have received VJ for the party sent by Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee to Gurudwara Sri Nankana Sahib Pakistan to celebrate the birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Who will be sent to Pakistan tomorrow on 14th November. Preparations in this regard have been completed by the Shiromani Committee. Meanwhile, today the pilgrims received their passports along with visas from the Shiromani Samiti office.
On the occasion of passport distribution, Shiromani Committee Secretary Pratap Singh said that passports of 2244 pilgrims were sent to the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi, out of which the embassy has issued visas to 763 pilgrims. He said that 1481 pilgrims were not given visas by the embassy. He said that the cancellation of visas of a large number of Sikh pilgrims is unfortunate. He said that the party was led by a member of Shiromani Committee. Jasal is being run by Gurnam Singh, while Shiromani Committee member Bibi Sharanjit Kaur will go as deputy leader and in-charge Palwinder Singh and Gurmeet Singh as general managers.
On this occasion, Deputy Secretary of Shiromani Committee Harbhajan Singh, Superintendent Nishan Singh and Yatra in-charge Palwinder Singh were also present.
