Himachal Pradesh Police has arrested 221 drug smugglers in Shimla till June 30 in a major action. Out of the smugglers arrested, 171 are from the hill state, while Punjab is at the forefront in the smugglers arrested from other states in this case. After which Nepal is the hideout of smugglers. Out of the 221 people arrested, 8 are women. Giving information in this regard, the officials said that the involvement of women in drug smuggling is a matter of concern.
Himachal Pradesh Police arrested
He said that a total of 42 smugglers from other states have been arrested in the drug smuggling case in Shimla. This includes 25 from Punjab, four from Uttar Pradesh, three each from Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand, two from Delhi and one each from Chandigarh and Bihar. Apart from this, 171 people have been arrested from the hill state.
Let us tell you that apart from the arrest of smugglers caught from Shimla, 90 vehicles used in drug smuggling have been seized. Out of these 90 vehicles, 11 vehicles have Punjab registration number. Officials said that apart from this, the process of seizing property worth about one crore rupees has also been started in various courts.
