ED Seized Shilpa Shetty-Raj Kundra's Property: ED has once again taken major action. This time Bollywood stars have been targeted. ED had seized assets worth about Rs 98 crore by taking action against businessman Raj Kundra, husband of actress Shilpa Shetty. It is noteworthy that Kundra's name had come up in the pornography case that came to light in 2011. Then he was also arrested. However, he later got bail.
A bungalow in Juhu was also confiscated
According to the report, Shilpa Shetty's bungalow in Juhu is also included among the properties of Kundra which have been seized by ED. Action was taken against the businessman under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act i.e. PMLA 2002. The special thing is that Shilpa Shetty has previously been a partner in the Rajasthan Royals team in IPL.

ED had taken this action against Kundra in the Bitcoin Ponzi scam. The assets acquired in Tanch include a bungalow and equity shares in Pune. It is reported that the ED initiated the investigation following FIRs filed by Maharashtra Police and Delhi Police against One Variable Tech Private Limited and accused late Amit Bhardwaj, Ajay Bhardwaj, Vivek Bhardwaj, Simpi Bhardwaj, Mahendra Bhardwaj and others.
The main accused in this case is still absconding
It is noteworthy that last year Simpi Bhardwaj was arrested on 17 December 2023, Nitin Gaur on 29 December 2023 and Akhil Mahajan on 16 January 2023. All of them are currently in jail. The main accused in the case, Ajay Bhardwaj and Mahendra Bhardwaj are still absconding and the investigating agency (ED) is interrogating them. The Enforcement Directorate has seized movable and immovable property worth Rs 69 crore in this case.
