Shehbaz government shaken by revolt in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir; Pakistani army storming homes at midnight, protesters disappearing. Shahbaz government shaken by rebellion in Pakistan occupied Kashmir, Pakistani army entering houses at midnight, protesters missing

The fire of rebellion and civil disobedience in Pakistan’s illegally occupied Kashmir (PoK) has created a stir from Islamabad to the military headquarters of Rawalpindi. The movement of the common people, which started against basic rights, shortage of flour and electricity and heavy taxes, has now completely transformed into a coup and rebellion of independence against the Pakistani government. According to the latest ground reports, the Pakistani Army and its dreaded intelligence agency ISI have crossed all limits of cruelty to crush this rebellion. A situation like undeclared martial law has been created in the entire area.

Pakistani army’s ‘death squads’ became active in the dark of night

According to local human rights activists of PoK and news coming through social media, Pakistani Army has started a dreadful operation in major cities like Muzaffarabad, Poonch and Mirpur. Local leaders, youth and even journalists who led the protests are being forcibly taken from their homes in the dark of night. Local people allege that Pakistani Army vehicles are entering residential areas without any warrant and innocent families are being intimidated by the threat of boots. No trace of the dozens of abducted protesters has been found so far, due to which their families fear something untoward.

Misbehavior with women and children by breaking the doors of houses

Pakistani Rangers and Army troops are now directly targeting the homes of civilians. Local sources have confirmed that to suppress the voice of rebellion, the army is forcibly entering the houses by breaking the doors. During this time, women, elderly people and children present in the houses are being treated inhumanely and beaten. Mobile and internet services have been completely disrupted so that videos and pictures of the atrocities being committed by the army inside the valley cannot be exposed to the world. However, despite this cycle of repression, the anger of the local people is not subsiding.

‘Haq Do Movement’ became a war of independence, expectations from India

This movement of ‘Awami Action Committee’, which initially started against the huge electricity bills and skyrocketing prices of flour, has now taken a completely political form. The people of PoK are now openly raising slogans of ‘Go Back’ against the Pakistani Army. There have also been reports of Pakistani flags being lowered and slogans raised in favor of India in many areas. Local protesters say that Pakistan has been looting their natural resources for decades and all they are getting in return is poverty and oppression. This rebellion has exposed Pakistan even on the international stage.

Human rights organizations expressed great concern, demanded international intervention

Global human rights organizations have expressed deep concern over this bloody cycle of repression going on in PoK. The United Nations (UN) and international media are being appealed to immediately intervene in this matter. Experts believe that if this barbarity of Pakistani army is not stopped immediately, then this rebellion can turn into a big civil war in the coming days. To hide its failure, the Pakistani Army may now conspire to increase tension on the Line of Control (LoC), due to which the security of the entire South Asia region is at stake.
