Kolkata, 24 October (Hindustan Reporter). The police investigating the death of a girl under suspicious circumstances in Krishnanagar have found many important clues. There are indications that the student, after being unable to contact her boyfriend, had herself gone to him with kerosene.

According to police sources, on the day of the incident, the deceased student, unable to contact her boyfriend, called his close friend 21 times between 12 noon and 11 pm.

Investigators say that from the conversation between the two, it has come to light that the student was asking about her boyfriend's address and was also trying to know why he was not picking up the phone. The student repeatedly requested her friend to ask the young man to pick up the phone.

According to the police officer, before falling in love with this student, the young man was in a relationship with another girl from Sonarpur, South 24 Parganas. At that time the young man had also applied vermilion to the girl. However, their relationship broke up about a year ago. After that the young man met this student through social media. A few months ago, when the young man went to work in a hotel in Bengaluru, this student also went to stay with him.

According to sources, the student had saved the young man's number in the name of 'husband' and had also told about their marriage on Facebook. However, after a month he had to return due to family pressure. After this the young man again got in touch with the girl from Sonarpur. Besides, the young man was also growing close to another female friend. On October 15, when the student was repeatedly calling him, the young man was roaming in Ranaghat with another female friend. Investigators believe that only after realizing this, the student called the youth's friend and threatened to commit suicide.

After listening to the student, the young man's friend called him and informed him about this. Police investigation has also revealed that despite hearing that the student had brought kerosene, the young man did not take it seriously. Apart from this, investigation has also revealed that around 4 pm, the young man's friend had also informed the girl from Sonarpur about this incident.

Shortly before 10 pm, the young man had gone out with his friend to the grounds of Krishnanagar Government College for a conversation. According to investigators, at 10:12 pm there was a conversation between the student and the youth through this friend's phone. The young man told her that he wanted to end the relationship. Hearing this, the student cried and threatened to commit suicide. It is claimed that only after this he went away and poured kerosene on it, set it on fire and committed suicide.
