Saharsa, July 15 (HS). A labour rights conference was organised on Monday under the banner of All India Central Council of Trade Unions in the Puja Banquet Hall of the Zila Parishad situated on DB Road in the city. Hundreds of workers from the organised and unorganised sector participated in this conference. Before this, CPI (ML) workers welcomed the General Secretary of All India Scheme Workers Federation and CPI (ML) Legislative Councilor Shashi Yadav as the keynote speaker from Kuti Chowk with dozens of motorcycles.

Addressing the gathering, MLC Shashi Yadav said that the main reason for the growing distance between the government and the working class, unemployment of workers and looting of minimum wages is the fascist character of the government giving 'freedom to loot' to the workers by the corporate company rule in the country. The state government is privatizing all kinds of public industries. It is inviting corporates and employers to loot the minimum wage standard of the labor law made by the government. The latest example of which is the notification of the Ministry of Labor. It has a reduction in the interest rates imposed on delay in depositing EPF funds, which is a direct economic attack on the workers by the government for the benefit of the corporates.

Through NGOs and outsourcing, workers are not being paid minimum wages in all government and private works. They are being exploited in every way and workers are being made slaves of corporates, employers and companies. By gathering all types of organised and unorganised sector workers, we will launch a decisive movement against corporate loot and company rule.

He said that in the upcoming legislative session, the voice of the workers scheme workers will be raised strongly in the Legislative Council. Along with this, it was decided to hold state level workers convention of CPI(ML), walk, assembly siege by the cooks union, assembly march of Khegramas on 25th August, demonstration on workers issues at the Labor Department on 1st August.

CPI(ML) State Standing Committee member Baijnath Yadav, CPI(ML) District Secretary Lalan Yadav, RYA leader Santosh Ram, youth leader Kundan Yadav, Khegramas leader Vakil Kumar Yadav, Mahasangh Gop faction State Advisor Madhav Prasad Singh and others were present at the conference.
