Sharif congratulates PM Modi, Defence Minister says 'This is not a message of love, it is a compulsion'

Pak PM Shahbaz Sharif congratulated PM Modi: Narendra Modi took oath as the Prime Minister of India for the third time on Sunday (9 June). He has been receiving many congratulations since winning the election. Meanwhile, Pakistan's Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has congratulated Prime Minister Modi, but soon after congratulating him, Pakistan's character was revealed. Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has said on Shahbaz's congratulations, “The congratulatory message should be considered a message of love but PM Modi has been congratulated due to diplomatic compulsion.”

Speaking to a Pakistani news channel, Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said, “This message is a formal message. This is a diplomatic compulsion. We have not sent him (Prime Minister Modi) a message of love. His entire political career has been against Muslims. When Shahbaz Sharif won, he congratulated us, so we congratulated him.”

Leaders from all over the world are congratulating PM Modi on becoming the Prime Minister for the third time. Then Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif also congratulated PM Modi. He wrote on 'X', 'Congratulations to Narendra Modi on taking oath as the Prime Minister of India.'

Pakistan's ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz chief and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif also congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He wrote on 'X', “My heartiest congratulations to Modiji for assuming power for the third time. Your party's success in the elections shows that the public has faith in your leadership. Let us turn hatred into hope and take advantage of the opportunity to shape the destiny of two billion people of South Asia.”
