Sharad Pawar praised RSS, advocated for preparing cadre

Ncp Sp Chief Sharad Pawar Pti

Senior Maharashtra leader and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar has praised the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and said that his party should also prepare a strong cadre base. Pawar told party workers during a meeting in South Mumbai that Sangh workers have complete devotion to their ideology and do not deviate under any circumstances.

Pawar’s comment

Sharad Pawar said,

“We should also have a cadre who is committed to the ideology of Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj, Mahatma Phule, BR Ambedkar and Yashwantrao Chavan.”

Referring to the NCP’s defeat in the Maharashtra Assembly elections, Pawar said the party had become careless after its success in the Lok Sabha elections, while the BJP-led alliance took immediate steps after its defeat and strengthened its position.

Supriya Sule also praised Devendra Fadnavis

Pawar’s comments come at a time when a few days ago his daughter and Baramati MP Supriya Sule had praised the work of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Regarding the development works of Gadchiroli district, Sule had said,

“Devendra Fadnavis has been in action since day one. “It seems he is the only minister who is working actively.”

He also said that Fadnavis has shown seriousness in taking forward the process of development in the district, continuing the work started by former home minister RR Patil.

discussion of reconciliation in the family

This statement of Sharad Pawar and Fadnavis’ praise of Sule are being seen as possibilities of reconciliation within the Pawar family. Mahavikas Aghadi (MVA) had to face a big defeat in the last assembly elections. NCP won only 10 seats, while Congress won 16 and Uddhav Thackeray faction’s Shiv Sena won 20 seats.

At the same time, BJP won 132 seats, Eknath Shinde faction won 57 seats and Ajit Pawar led NCP won 41 seats.

Eye on BMC elections

There are speculations regarding the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections that the INDIA alliance may break here. There are indications that Shiv Sena (UBT) will contest the elections alone. However, no official announcement has been made by the party on this yet.

impact on political equations

The recent statements of Sharad Pawar and Supriya Sule point towards the changing equations in Maharashtra politics. Especially its impact can be seen on BMC elections and future alliances.
