Kishanganj, 02 September (HS). Shani Janmotsav was celebrated with great enthusiasm on Monday at the Shani temple located at Dumria Bhatta in the city. Devotees started arriving from the morning to have darshan of Lord Shanidev on Shani Janmotsav. The temple was decorated attractively for the puja. The gate of the temple was also decorated attractively. There was enthusiasm among the devotees about the Janmotsav. A bhajan-kirtan program was organized in the evening.
The devotees were also excited about the birth anniversary and started dancing. The worship of Shanidev and Maa Kali was done in the temple by priest Hira Lal Bhargava with Vedic chanting. The entire temple premises was filled with the chants of Lord Shani and Maa Kali.
The priest of the temple, Hira Lal Bhargava, said that this time the birth anniversary was celebrated with great joy. The priest said that on this occasion, Lord Shani and Maa Kali were also worshipped. Shanidev and Maa Kali were worshipped with Vedic chanting.
By worshipping Shanidev, the wishes made are fulfilled. The sons of the chief priest were also busy in making the puja successful. Everyone was excited about the puja. Khichdi Mahaprasad was distributed in the evening. Devotees participated in it with great enthusiasm. A crowd of women devotees also gathered in the temple.
