Shameful act in Bhopal, shoe placed on former PM's statue, then Congress bathed it with milk

Former PM Lal Bahadur Shastri statue in Bhopal: On Saturday, unknown people placed shoes on the statue of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri located at the intersection near the Police Commissioner's office in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. As soon as information about this was received, Congress workers reached the spot and bathed the statue with milk. They also raised slogans that they will not tolerate the insult of former PM Shastri. Congress leaders told the administration that strict action should be taken in this matter otherwise there will be demonstrations and agitation after 5 days.

Congress leaders raised questions on police

Congress leaders also raised questions on the working style of the police and district administration. He said, 'If such an incident can happen near the Police Commissioner's office then no one is safe in the city.' Meanwhile, after receiving the information, the police reached the spot and started investigating the matter. Arera Hills police station in-charge Manoj Patwa said, 'We received information that someone has placed a shoe on the shoulder of the statue of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri. We have reached the spot and are trying to get information about the incident. The incident is being investigated.'

Congress leaders targeted the government

As soon as the video of this incident went viral, former Union Minister and Congress State President Arun Yadav wrote on social media, 'Kushabhau Thackeray garlanded the statue of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri near the Auditorium (Minto Hall). The incident in the capital Bhopal is extremely condemnable and objectionable, I demand from the government that strict action should be taken against the culprits and strict action should be taken from the administration.
