History of Gurdwara Sahib
Guru Gobind Singh Ji took care of Bhai Bachitar Singh Ji, who was injured in the fort of Kotla Nihang Khan, after getting separated from his family on the Sarsa River at midnight of 6.7 Poh. After this, he passed through Bhatta Sahib with Bade Sahibzade and 40 lions and reached village Brahmin Majra and rested for the night. After taking bath in the ancient well in the morning, Guru Sahib left for Sri Chamkaur Sahib.
Gurudwara Sri Jangsar Sahib Patshahi VI located in village Brahman Majra also has historical importance. Here Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji stayed during the solar eclipse in Kurukshetra while returning to Kiratpur Sahib, where a three-day battle took place with the Pathans. In this struggle, 500 Sikhs were martyred and the daughter of the Pandits was freed from the Muslims. To protect the Pandits, the brave Jat Dhanoy of village Ghanduen settled this village.
