Shahbaz government took a big decision to eradicate poverty, will PIA be sold?

Pakistan, which is facing economic crisis, is now going to sell its airline PIA (Pakistan International Airlines). Privatization of PIA is on the agenda of the new government of Pakistan since the end of the caretaker government. According to information received from Pakistan, the Pakistan government is going to privatize PIA soon and all the preliminary preparations have been done for this.

On Wednesday, media reports said that Pakistan is currently facing a huge shortage of rupees. To overcome this shortage, the Pakistan government is now preparing to hand over the country's government departments to private hands. China is already interfering in many important resources of Pakistan through CPEC and now PIA, which is considered the identity of Pakistan abroad, is also going to come under the control of a private company.

6 companies selected for auction

According to the information, the government has shortlisted 6 companies for privatization. These 6 companies will participate in the airline auction in the final process. The airline has asked the selected companies to complete the paperwork by July. Meanwhile, officials are providing necessary information regarding the auction to the shortlisted companies. Six companies have been allowed to participate in the auction for the privatization of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), although no information has been given about which are these six companies.

The auction will be broadcasted live

The decision was taken at a meeting of the Privatisation Ministry Board held this week. The meeting was chaired by Privatisation Minister Aleem Khan. Aleem stressed the government's commitment to ensure a transparent and effective privatisation process of all loss-making government-controlled companies. Aleem recommended live broadcasting on media outlets to bring transparency and increase confidence in the bidding.
