Firozabad, 06 July (HS). The court on Saturday sentenced a person guilty of kidnapping and raping a minor to seven years of imprisonment. The court has also imposed a fine on him. If he does not pay the fine, he will have to undergo additional punishment. This entire case is of 23 March 2019. A teenager resident of Thana Nagla Khangar area was picking potatoes in the field in the afternoon. During that time, a young man lured her and took her away. The girl's father registered a case in the police station. The police recovered the girl after a month. After investigation, the police filed a charge sheet in the court against Harendra alias Harendra Babu, a resident of Agra.
The case was heard in the court of Additional Sessions Judge, Special Judge POCSO Court No. 1 Awadhesh Kumar Singh. Special Public Prosecutor Awadhesh Bhardwaj, who was arguing the case on behalf of the prosecution, said that many witnesses testified during the trial. Many witnesses were presented in the court. On the basis of the testimony and evidence of the witnesses, the court found Harendra guilty and sentenced him to seven years of imprisonment. A fine of Rs 21,000 was imposed on him. If he does not pay the fine, he will have to undergo an additional sentence of two months.
