Seven people, including four children, died on the spot when a speeding trailer collided with a truck in Pakistan's Sindh province. Police informed about this tragic incident. The accident took place in the provincial capital Karachi when the trailer collided with a minibus coming from behind after the truck took a U-turn. A senior official said that the deceased include four children and two women of the same family. They all went to the sea shore. The bus in which they were traveling overturned after colliding with the trailer.
The trailer driver fled from the spot after the accident. An official of Mauripur police station said that six other people, including two children, were injured in the incident. The emergency response team provided immediate medical aid to the injured and after legal proceedings, the deceased were shifted to Karachi Civil. Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has expressed grief over the people who lost their lives in the accident. He issued a statement and urged the nearby private and government hospitals to provide immediate treatment to the injured.
Sindh CM sought report
The Sindh Chief Minister has directed the Sindh DG to submit a detailed report on the incident. He has also ordered the police to take strict measures to prevent such tragedies. Sindh Chief Minister Shah said in a statement that the driving license of drivers who drive at full speed on busy roads should be suspended. Families are being ruined and innocent children are dying due to speeding.
