Seven lakh rupees were swindled by giving fake Australian visa

Jind, July 27 (HS). Sadar police station has registered a case against a person under various sections including fraud for duping a person of Rs. 7 lakhs by giving fake visa on the pretext of sending him to Australia. Police is investigating the case.

Rajesh, a resident of village Lohchab, told the police in his complaint that he was keen to go abroad. Due to which he came in contact with Shakti Sagwan who runs an office in Gohana. He demanded Rs 18 lakh in exchange for sending him to Australia on a work visa. He asked for half the amount in advance and half the amount later. On which he refused to give the money without a middleman. The amount was kept with Bittu, a resident of Gohana, till the work was done. On May 7, 2023, the accused sent his visa and said that he would get the ticket on May 12.

On which the accused got Rs. 18 lakhs through a middleman. When he got his visa checked at the embassy, ​​it was found to be fake. When he asked for his money back, the accused returned Rs. 11 lakhs. He said he would pay the remaining amount later. Despite this, the money was not returned. When he put pressure on him, the accused refused to return the money and threatened him with dire consequences. On Rajesh's complaint, Sadar police station on Saturday registered a case against accused Shakti Sangwan under various sections including fraud and has started investigation.
