Seven and a half thousand poor people became plot owners in a single day | Live Updates, Unveiling the Latest India News Trends

Chandigarh, June 10 (HS). Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh said that Congress had misled the poor in the name of giving them plots of 100 yards each. Today, BJP has made them the true owners of the plots by handing over the registry and possession letters of the land.

The Chief Minister was addressing the ceremony of distribution of possession letters of 100-100 square yard plots under the state level Mahatma Gandhi Gramin Basti Yojana held in Sonipat on Monday. In Haryana, programs were also organized today in Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Palwal, Gurugram, Hisar, Jind, Yamunanagar, Mahendragarh, Jhajjar and Sirsa, where ministers and MLAs of the Haryana government distributed plot possession letters to the beneficiaries. In today's ceremony, more than 75 hundred people were given plot possession letters. He said that in villages where land is not available for plots, financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh each will be given to the beneficiaries to buy the plot. Apart from this, the government has made a plan to give plots to other poor beneficiaries as well and orders have been given to the officials to prepare a portal. Such families can register themselves on this portal.

The Chief Minister said that the Congress had talked about giving only plots a decade and a half ago, but the people were not given ownership rights. People were making rounds of government offices to get ownership rights. He said that the Congress had named the scheme after Mahatma Gandhi and misled the people in the name of Mahatma Gandhi, but did not provide any benefit to the people from 2008 to 2014.

The Chief Minister said that the government has prepared a plan for 14 cities to provide shelter to BPL families under the Chief Minister Urban Housing Scheme, under which 15 thousand plots will be given. The list has been prepared after their verification. This scheme will be implemented very soon. On this occasion, Development and Panchayat Minister Mahipal Dhanda, MLA Mohan Lal Baroli, Satyaprakash Jarawata, Harvindra Kalyan, Nirmal Chaudhary and many other dignitaries were present.
