Jhajjar, May 28 (HS). The investigation of the Nafe Singh Rathi murder case is going on. On Tuesday, the team questioned seven accused in the case including former BJP MLA Naresh Kaushik in Bahadurgarh. The accused who were questioned include Municipal Council President Saroj Rathi's husband Ramesh Rathi, his son Kamal Rathi and Saroj Rathi's maternal uncle-in-law, former Municipal Council President Karmveer Rathi. The CBI team has asked all the accused not to go abroad until the investigation of the case is completed.
Apart from the above, the CBI team also called Satish Rathi, son of former minister Mangeram Rathi and Gaurav Rathi and Rahul, sons of Satish Rathi's brother Jagdish Nambardar, to the Public Works Department Rest House in Bahadurgarh for questioning. All were questioned for about 3 hours. All were instructed not to leave the country and go to any other country for the time being. The CBI team has also taken everyone's passport numbers. The CBI team has also taken the bank details of the accused. After the questioning, all the accused, while talking to journalists, said that they have answered all the questions asked by the CBI team. They have nothing to do with this case.
Let us tell you that Indian National Lok Dal state president and former MLA Nafe Singh Rathi was shot dead near Barahi Road railway gate in Bahadurgarh on 25 February. Four youths were among the attackers. In this case, the police had registered a first information report against 12 people on the basis of the statement of deceased Nafe Singh's son Jitendra. Initially, the case was investigated by Bahadurgarh police. SIT was also formed. But on the demand of the victim's family, the state government handed over this case to the CBI for investigation. The CBI has been investigating this case for about 3 weeks.
Former MLA Naresh Kaushik said that he never had any dispute with Nafe Singh Rathi or his family. But the victim's family included his name among the accused due to his political rivalry. Kaushik said that Rathi's murder is highly condemnable. CBI is investigating this case impartially and whoever is the culprit will definitely be punished. After interrogation, accused Ramesh Rathi and Satish Nambardar also presented their side of the case before the journalists.
