Settlement form distributed to displaced and landless families of Barari and Kursela

Katihar, 18 October (Hindustan Reporter). On Friday, settlement papers of residential land were provided to the beneficiaries of landless poor families displaced by the erosion of Ganga and Kosi in various panchayats under Barari and Kursela zones of the district.

It is noteworthy that on October 16, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had participated in the program organized at Bhagwati Mandir Inter College located in Lakshmipur Panchayat of Barari block under Katihar district. During this program, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 183 developmental schemes of various departments at a cost of Rs 405.53 crore through remote unveiling. These include inauguration of 52 schemes at a cost of Rs 107.87 crore and foundation stone laying work of 131 schemes at a cost of Rs 297.66 crore.

Also, Nitish Kumar had released a booklet in digital and physical form containing the list of settlement forms for residential land to be given to poor landless families displaced by the erosion of Ganga and Kosi rivers. In this program, 5279 displaced and landless poor families of Barari zone and 353 displaced and landless poor families of Kursela zone were selected for settlement of residential land. In the program organized, the Chief Minister had symbolically given settlement papers of residential land to 10 beneficiaries of landless poor families displaced by the erosion of Ganga and Kosi. The remaining landless beneficiaries were provided settlement forms today.
