Session on anchoring and content writing organised at MGCU | News India

East Champaran, September 02 (HS). A one-day session on anchoring and content writing was organized on Monday under the aegis of the English Department of Mahatma Gandhi Central University. During the session, two eminent alumni of the department, News Nation Channel anchor Prakriti and English graduate of 2017-2020 batch Nazia Rehman participated and shared their experiences.

Anchor Prakriti spoke about important aspects like building confidence, mastering the correct pronunciation, facing and handling the camera, playing with words, and maintaining a good personality, and she also stressed on content creation, appropriate hashtags, use of AI tools, and the need to pay attention to spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors.

Nazia Rehman spoke about content writing underlining the importance of learning grammatical structures, use of catchy words and taglines, incorporating AI and graphic design tools. She also discussed creativity and understanding of colour theory in content creation. The session was enthusiastically attended by students of the Department of English. The event was moderated by Krishna Kumar, a research scholar of the Department of English.

Dr. Bimalesh K. Singh, Head of the Department of English, thanked both the alumni for their excellent session. Assistant Professor Dr. Umesh Patra discussed topics such as class discussions, creative assignments, answer writing, and cultural activities and assured the students that such sessions will be organized in the future as well. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Krishna Kumar.
